Proposal Story
Bryan started scheduling a lot of date nights the month before he proposed to throw me off – which he totally did! We started the evening at M Italian for drinks, where Bryan convinced me I had never taken him down to the base of the waterfall in my hometown of Chagrin Falls. We had time before our dinner reservation at Jekyll’s, so we walked down to the base of the falls where he told me it would be a beautiful place for engagement photos and then popped the question! I was so excited that I grabbed the ring right out of the box and put it on my own finger. I jumped into his arms and when I looked up, I saw his parents and my mom waiting for us on the bridge overlooking the Falls. After our dinner at Jekyll’s, we were surprised with an engagement party and my brother’s house with our family and closest friends!
Tip for Engaged Couples
Don’t sweat the small stuff and trust that everything will work out exactly as it’s meant to (even if it’s not what you originally planned). It all comes together!
Finding the Perfect Gown
I initially found a different dress online and one of the only stores near me that carried that designer was Evaline’s Bridal. I was bummed to find out that they couldn’t get that specific dress for me, but we decided to go look just for fun. My mom found the grey version of my dress on the rack, which was initially very hesitant to try. As soon as I put it on, I totally fell in love with it and knew it was the one!
Favorite Wedding Memory
Our favorite memory was waking up the morning of our wedding and reading the cards we wrote to each other. Feeling the overwhelming excitement and anticipation to see each other from the moment we woke up was the best!
