Kaitlyn and Ryan
“We met at Ohio State University, he was a year older and we kept passing each other until we finally worked up the courage to talk to each other”. This was the start of a lifetime love story for lovers Kaitlyn and Ryan.
“They always joked their wedding was a “long time coming”, said photographer, Kristine Borns. After dating on and off for a few years, Kaitlyn and Ryan finally decided to take the plunge October of 2017.
Surrounded by their friends and family, the couple was married at St. John’s Cathedral in downtown Cleveland.
“This was the same church that my grandparents got married in and since I was the first grandchild to get married so it was meaningful to my upbringing and sentimental to my grandparents”, Kaitlyn said. We often take for granted just how beautiful Cleveland can be, especially for such a memorable event such as a wedding.
“I absolutely loved having my wedding in downtown Cleveland, it didn’t seem too busy, we didn’t have issues getting anywhere, no issues with parking or getting to any location we needed. For me it was a no-brainer”, Kaitlyn said.
“Cleveland is cool because there’s a lot variety so you can get the beach to the city feel or even the metro parks, so there’s a lot of different vibes to capture”, Kristine said. They took advantage of all the options, taking pictures in front of the well-known Lebron James mural and in the streets of downtown.
“The ceremony was my favorite part of the day to capture because of the way they looked at each other throughout it, and waving at the kids in the audience”, Kristine said.
“Keeping everything on schedule and planning was the most stressful part but overall, the day was pretty seamless”, Kaitlyn said. While we all know weddings can be overwhelming, but the help of their family, friends, and photographer really made the difference.
“Kristine did have a big part in making our day and lots of people complimented our pictures and talk about how awesome of a job she did”, Kaitlyn said.
Weddings are a magical time, especially being surrounded by the people you love and who love you. True love can be hard to find, but luckily this couple has found the one whom they want forever.
Congratulations to Kaitlyn and Ryan, may you have many years of happiness ahead of you.
